Brethil

Brethil was a woodland region in Beleriand, settled by Edain men called Haladin, a modest and reclusive but valiant folk, and ruled by the House of Haleth during the First Age. After the disastrous Battle of Unnumbered Tears there was a tense peace for a few decades until Túrin Turambar arrived and attracted an evil and destructive threat from the west. This is part of an ongoing project in which I imagine some concepts for a fictitious film based on The Children of Húrin, the book written by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien but edited and finished by his son Christopher.
